So you've taken a bunch of career quizzes and tests — Now what?
In this post, we'll walk through how to search for compatible careers based on your results from career interests and personality assessments. Here are a few useful free career exploration tools.
O*Net OnLine
This online tool allows users to search careers by interest based on the Holland Codes. You can filter your search by up to three interests (for example, RC or RCS).
Truity
Truity, a resource we highlighted in our last post, offers tools for searching careers by both Holland Codes and MBTI personality type. If you want to get more specific, you can combine your Holland Codes and MBTI type filters into one search using the Advanced Search Tool.
Note that Truity and O*Net are American websites. To find the Canadian equivalents of these jobs, you'll need to copy the American job title and paste it into the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC). NOC codes are used to classify all jobs in Canada and outline main duties, educational requirements, experience, and other information for each occupation.
